Call for Art!

The Carnegie Museum of Montgomery County is currently seeking artwork for our 2024 Community Art Show, “HOME” highlighting the people and places of Montgomery County.

The theme asks us to present artwork of any variety on what home means for you. Home can mean “where the heart is” and represent a person or relationship. It could also be a physical or spiritual place with a definite architecture or a more encompassing natural place. What does it mean to have a home court advantage? Has your definition of home changed after the COVID-19 pandemic? Is it a sense of peace of joy or a different interpretation altogether?

Professional and amateur artists are welcome to submit work for consideration. Works will be picked up at the conclusion of the exhibit.
Artists should send images and dimensions of their art to curator Janna Bennett at jbennett@carnegiemuseum.in.gov or call 765-362-4622 to make other arrangements to view potential art work. Submission deadline is July 10, 2024. A decision will be made by the curatorial team by July 19, 2024 on the selection of art to be included.

Carnegie Museum’s 2024 community art show “Home” opens Saturday, August 24, 2024. Entries are due July 10, 2024.
