Fall Exhibits – Burnin’ Rubber and Hoosiers: Hometown ‘Hickory’

September 6, 2025 – November 1, 2025 | Join us for two new exhibits opening Saturday, September 6, 2025, 2 PM- 4 PM at the Carnegie Museum! The museum celebrates the 40th anniversary of the filming of the legendary basketball movie Hoosiers and its filming in New Richmond in Hoosiers: Hometown ‘Hickory.’ Right in time for the 2025 Motocross of Nations Burnin’ Rubber: Racing in Montgomery County roars into the building! Learn more about the history of automobile race car drivers from Montgomery County and see footage of behind the scenes filming from the making of Hoosiers!

Burnin’ Rubber: Racing in Montgomery County roars into the museum. The exhibit explores automobile racing and three featured drivers racing from the dawn of race cars into the 21st century. Howdy Wilcox, Larry Rice, and Sondi Eden all called the county home while their cars zoomed across the country. 

Hoosiers: Hometown ‘Hickory’ celebrates the 40th anniversary of the filming of the movie Hoosiers in New Richmond. See the transformation of the downtown into Hickory.
